RSS is used to let people know when there are updates to your website. Here are a couple of examples of how your RSS feed looks in a couple of RSS readers.

When people click on the RSS link, it adds your feed to their reader and whenever you update your recipe page, it will let them know. If you want to get your own RSS reader, you can just search Google for RSS readers, they are all free.

I only have the two recipes up in the RSS feed right now, so if you do get an RSS reader, you'll see what it looks like when you get an update.
